The majority of people are employed by small to medium sized businesses, which are the lifeblood of the economy. As Police & Crime Commissioner I know that crime can affect businesses, but I also recognise that low crime and a thriving economy go hand in hand. So I am asking you to take just a couple of minutes to share your experiences.

Our priority is to protect children and we found that working in partnership and reaching out to those who work with children and young people can make a huge difference.

This week marks Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action, an opportunity to shine a light on the positive work our officers are doing to protect communities across Thames Valley.

QR codes are becoming increasingly common in everyday life, whether it’s scanning one to pay for parking, or receiving an email asking to verify an online account. However, reporting shows cyber criminals are increasingly using quishing as a way to trick the public out of their personal and financial information. 

It is clear that with cuts to policing budgets and the government’s determination to max out the bill for local council tax payers, there will simply be no way the Government can deliver on their promises.

Thames Valley Police reiterated previous reassurance that this change is not expected to have any negative impact on policing locally. The area continues to be served by a team of dedicated neighbourhood police constables and Police Community Support Officers, two of whom are stationed in Hungerford.  In addition to neighbourhood teams, there are 24/7 police response teams and other specialist teams that serve the community.
