Oxfordshire County Council’s planned changes to our local recycling centres will increase fly tipping!
Oxfordshire County Council are consulting residents on changes to how our local recycling centres are run.
I am concerned that these changes, if left unchallenged, will lead to an increase in waste crime and fly-tipping.
They’ve already decided to introduce a booking system - that is not being consulted on now.
So what else is being planned?
Reducing the hours that recycling centres are open
Reducing the number of days they are open (possibly from 7 to 5)
Imposing checks to prove that you live in Oxfordshire
Making more vehicle times subject to registering for a permit
Reducing the number of times people with permits can use the sites from 12 to 6 each year
Banning horseboxes
Banning any vehicles with sign writing or business logos on them all together
