Milton Interchange road marking saga continues!
After the debacle of the incorrect road markings at Milton Interchange earlier this month by Oxfordshire County Council, it has now emerged they they’ve still not got it quite right!
Can you spot the difference?
No prizes for spotting the mistake, but a big risk to road safety. I have contacted Oxfordshire County Council last night urgently asking for this to be corrected.
Heading North the old road markings for “A34/Milton Park” directed drivers into a filtered lane, giving them the choice between joining the A34 or continuing on the roundabout to Milton Park.
The NEW road markings mean that if you’re in lane 2 marked for A34 North - you’re kept in lane 2 having to cross two lanes of traffic to join the A34!
Those of us who know the road well may not take much notice, but this junction is used by thousands of drivers unfamiliar with the road layout who understandably will follow the road markings set down by the county council.
After the chaos just a few weeks ago I would have hoped the County Council would have double and triple checked the road markings, but they’ve still not got it right. This poses a real risk to road safety and needs to be corrected urgently.
