PCC welcomes Emergency Services Day 2025

Matthew Barber, Police & Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, on Emergency Services Day 2025

Matthew Barber, Police & Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, said: “Alongside colleagues across the country, I am pleased to welcome this year’s Emergency Services Day which provides an opportunity to highlight the work of the emergency services in Thames Valley and beyond.

“I would like to thank all those who work in our blue light services for their selfless dedication in keeping communities safe, and helping those in need 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

“Almost 2 million people work and volunteer across the NHS and emergency services, with many being volunteers – without which the emergency services would not be able to operate effectively. Today provides us with an opportunity to collectively celebrate our 999 and NHS heroes.

“If you feel inspired to make a difference in your communities, visit the Thames Valley Police Careers website to explore your entry route as a police officer and start your application today.”
