There are now 4,772 police officers in the Force, the highest level ever, working alongside the PCSOs, staff and Special Constables to keep the public safe. Numbers will grow further to enable plans to boost community policing.
As part of Thames Valley Police’s commitment to give the public an insight into its work, the force is releasing statistics on its activity over the six months 1 April to 30 September.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Matthew Barber, has named Jason Hogg as his proposed appointment for Thames Valley Police Chief Constable.
Announcing the funding, Matthew said: “I’m delighted to be able to award this funding to so many community and voluntary organisations, who provide valuable services across the Thames Valley….”
Following the successful launch of Operation Deter - a zero tolerance approach to knife crime in Milton Keynes and Aylesbury, Thames Valley Police have now extended the initiative to Slough.
